I am moving website designers, what information do I need to get from my current designer to do this?

I know I need the following,

FTP details: hostname, username and password.

Hosting: current host, username and password

Do I need anything else- maybe info on the domain name? any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

You’d need to know who the domain name is registered with – hopefully this is not only registered in your own/your business name but is also attached to a domain registration account in your name too. If this is not the case, get the original registrant to transfer it to you so that you can administer it going forward.

Once you have the FTP details it would be a good idea to download and keep a copy of your existing site, if only for future reference.

Once you are ready to have your new site uploaded, it might be prudent to change the passwords!

You need to know what name server to point your domain to. The article at http://help.godaddy.com/article/664 should help you.
