WEBCASTING/INTERNET RADIO

A professional music scheduler is the second most important tool for an Internet Radio station to have.

First, you've got to have your player, your web-streaming software, of course. Then, if you're serious about delivering a smooth, consistent music mix with ever-changing variety to your listeners, you need professional music scheduling software.

If you have an internet radio station, creating truly professional music flow can be a tedious, time consuming job. Click and drag playlist creation just doesn't make it. Shuffling your playlist gives you a different song sequence, but control of the music flow goes out the window that way.

True, some of the players (like DRS, Ots and SAM) have built in 'schedulers', but those aren't capable of doing the things needed that a real music scheduler like M1 can do.

Each artist can have the unique separation time that you set. You can tell M1 to always schedule an uptempo song at the start of each hour and tell it not to play certain songs at certain times of the day. Tell it to not schedule too many fast songs in a row. Set the rules to prevent certain types of songs from scheduling next to other types of songs. You can link voice tracks to songs in many ways. Do you have soundbites from artist interviews? Link them so when a song by the artist plays, M1 will automatically schedule a soundbite before the song.

Do you have a 'special' hour during your broadcast day, like, maybe an 'all oldies' hour? Then, you can tell M1 to automatically schedule that special show for you, drawing the songs from other rotation categories but keeping the songs in their 'master' categories where they get regular rotation during the rest of the broadcast week.

Finally, at an affordable cost, you can have a full-featured professional music scheduler, the very same software used by hundreds of terrestrial broadcast stations world-wide. And remember, Music 1 schedules a lot more than just music. You can format and schedule your voice tracks, jingles, liners, promo's and all your special features, too.

M1 is not a media player itself. Rather it works with every known player there is. M1 can be set to create a .m3u playlist. There is a WinAmp playlist generator built in. Most of the other widely used media players will recognize either a .m3u or a WinAmp playlist.
