M1 DOWNLOADS
You may download and install either the more advanced version 5x or the more economical basic version, Music 1 LE, or you can install both of them. They'll go into different directories. Please read about both versions (links on this site) and decide which to examine first. Use the links at the bottom of this page to download.
Music 1 version 5.1 needs the XP, NT or 2000 operating system. If you are using Win98 and want to install Version 5, contact us for special download and install assistance.
Music 1 LE and SE run on all Windows systems from Win98 and up.
RECOMMENDATION: Please do watch several of the instructional videos on this site to get an understanding of the basic functions of the software. The videos are included in the M1 CD and we're happy to mail a copy to you at no cost or obligation. Click here to order.
When you install any version, the Music 1 Quick Start booklet (in .pdf format) will be placed into the Music 1 directory. It is important that you read the booklet before you start the software. It gives you an overview of the Music 1 system and instructions for using the demo. If you choose, you can download the booklet separately to read before downloading the demo software.

When you install the software, you get a fully functioning copy of Music 1. 5x and LE come with a Pop music song library, all set up with format clocks and rules and ready to play with, and also an empty database. You may enter your own songs, create your own format clocks and schedule 30 music logs at no cost. SAM and Live365 editions come with an empty library file which you can begin using immediately. Anything you do within the library databases will be saved, so if you decide to use M1, you won't have to re-enter any work or data entry you do with the demo.
DATA IMPORT: If you're using another scheduler now and want to have your song library data transferred from that one into Music 1, call or e-mail Steve or Neil (numbers & addresses on the Contact page). If you're using SAM4 or the Live365.com locker system, the M1 version for each of those can automatically import; read the instructions in the Quickstart.
Mp3 TAG IMPORT: Most webcasters use the mp3 format. At this time, M1 does not automatically read and import the tags (artist, title, length, album) from the mp3s. To get your data into M1 quickly we have a recommended tag editor which can scan your drive and create a text file which can then be imported into M1. There's a video about this on our video page. Contact Steve at the M1 office for assistance.
The best thing to do after you download our demo is to call our office and let us walk you through a short orientation. We can show you the basics in about five minutes. This will be an information and training call for you and that is all. No sales pitches. We just want to help you get a handle on the system with ease. This is especially important if you are experienced with other music schedulers because Music 1 is so very different from what you have been working with. So, call us!
