is there a free scan adware removal software that will actually remove adware found during the free trial peri

i hear my computer running even when i’m not working on it, i’m wondering if there is adware running. am looking for a free removal tool that will scan AND DELETE any suspicious adware when it finds some during the free trial period. many of them will find adware, but you have to buy to remove it.

Ad-aware is the best adware removal program for windows. Spybot Search and Destroy is good for finding things that ad-aware misses. They both are totally free at download.com

The previous commenter may be right; you might have to reformat and reinstall Windows to really clean it. Do this if ad-aware or spybot turn up more than 100 results.

If you never want to waste time scanning for adware or reinstalling your OS, the real solution is to get a mac: http://apple.com/getamac/

    Honestly?

    u need to reformat ur pc, back up ur files and reinstall ur OS.

    then, download anti-spyware sw like spybot, its free (www.spybot.com)

    Yeah SpyBot is very good and so is Ad-Aware. There both very good and aa great compliment to each other. I have them both and are a great one two punch.

    I don’t think there is a need to reformat the PC. Install Spybot Search and Destroy, update to latest definitions, do a scan, fix all problems and only then think about formatting.

    There exists the possibility that what your hearing is the fan running in the CPU. If you know how, you can call up the task manager screen and monitor it for a while to see if you computer is doing work when your not. In any event, the suggestions to download both Spybot and Adaware would benefit you greatly.

    just because your computer runs when your away, doesn’t mean you have adware. your computer has to keep cool, keep it’s hard drive spinning, and think a little bit.
